Individual Therapy
Individual EMDR therapy involves the therapist working with the client on a one-to-one basis. This service begins with an intake session, followed by the development of a treatment plan to identify personalized goals and desired outcomes. From there, sessions will focus on making progress toward those goals through psychoeducation, skill development, and processing.
Individual therapy with children requires engagement and support from the parent or caregiver.
EMDR Intensives
EMDR Intensives are extended individual EMDR sessions, meaning multiple therapy sessions can be completed in one sitting. This service may be a good option if you aren’t able to commit to weekly therapy sessions or if you are looking to work through a target at a faster pace. It is a great option to consider if you prefer in-person therapy but live outside of the Reno area. Intensives require an assessment prior to the processing session and include a follow up appointment. Subsequent intensives or individual therapy sessions may be necessary and can be scheduled in order to achieve treatment goals.
Parent Coaching
Parent coaching is a service available to parents and caregivers to improve the parenting experience and ultimately improve the relationship with your child. Parent coaching is an individualized service that combines psychoeducation with strategies and approaches specific to your child. These sessions typically focus on behavior management, breaking maladaptive patterns, and problem-solving conflict. Parent coaching begins by gaining an understanding of family dynamics and needs, followed by the development of a road map to identify desired outcomes. From there, sessions will focus on psychoeducation and navigating specific concerns.
EMDR Consultation
This service is available to mental health professionals trained in EMDR. Consultation counts toward the EMDRIA requirements for EMDR Certification. Consultation is available in group, dyad, or individual format. Contact us for current group consultation schedule or to request individual consultation.
